Hotels and guest houses are typical sites that benefit from the use of cogeneration. These are facilities that consume electricity and heat primarily for their own needs. At the same time, cogeneration units can also serve here as emergency sources of electricity.
Gas with a methane content is released from the sludge at wastewater treatment plants. It can be used as fuel for CHP units. Smaller wastewater treatment plants use Micro CHP units to generate electricity that can be supplied to the treatment plant and sold to the grid.


Hospitals are a common setting for the use of CHP units. The need for a continuous supply of electricity and heat to these facilities is a direct prerequisite for the use of cogeneration. Depending on the size of the complex, higher-output CHP units can be used in hospitals.
